Save the Burger has a blog! (FTW!)
Welcome to the Save the Burger blog and my first post!!!
All of us at Save the Burger are completely over these lame, dried-out, bland burgers! Seriously, have you noticed? These days, patties are too thin to even taste any meat, the buns are flat and soggy, the lettuce is nonexistent, and what happened to the tomatoes? They don’t even come on burgers any more—blahhhh!!!! What happened to the big thick juicy burger from back in the day?
No one seems to know; but Save the Burger is working to change all that! We are on a mission to bring back REAL burgers: fresh, all-natural angus beef, ripe tomatoes and crispy lettuce, and of course warm, buttery split-top buns are the name of the game!
Yikes—I got a little caught up in that rant and didn’t introduce myself! I’m Katie, and I’m the intern here. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing cause! I’m a junior at USC studying business…primarily non-profits. I love helping people and giving back to the community and when this opportunity arose I had to jump on it. Getting this internship was like a dream come true! I mean, they are saving the burger; if you’re here, you obviously know how important that is!
It’s a good thing our CEO K Humphrey Jones is so dedicated to using the internet to help our cause, because he put me in charge of ALL grassroots communications. That’s everything from social networking to our efforts at spring break (PCB here I come!). My plan is to bring you all kinds of news, info, and updates on what we are doing to save the burger across the country.
And who knows…there might be some cool inside scoop that I can pass on too. Think coupons, t-shirts, and even more stuff than you already got when you joined the movement. (Uhhh, if you didn’t already join the movement you better get your butts to SaveTheBurger.org)
One more thing: for all you Facebook people, you can help out by being a ‘fan’ of Save the Burger. Our following is growing every day, so you don’t want to miss out. We’re doing other stuff with the internet that I’ll tell you about next time…I’m seriously so excited about it! Talk to ya soon!
